Revolution offers the Colorist a subtlety and finesse in it's range of tools unsurpassed. Whilst developing the technology it has also been a primary goal that performance should not suffer at the hands of feature ambition – 20 years ago the industry was working in real time and Revolution is the only software colour corrector capable of still doing so with all the features in use.

As with all of Pandora's systems, the architecture of the features is modular – from a dailies feature set to a fully loaded 'hero' suite configuration the core architecture remains the same.

To simplify the feature selection process we offer 4 entry points to the Revolution:

Revo CDL

Ideal for fast turn around dailies.

If paired with a T3 control surface it offers the most powerful, cost effective REAL TIME solution in the market.

With 3D look-up tables on the input and output, coupled with a read and write function for the ASC's CDL, bezier primaries, a six vector and a full power secondary inside and outside a shape this configuration is suited to dailies/rushes configurations.

This is Revolution stripped down for a purpose and being able to supply just the tools required is reflected in the price. The unit can easily be upgraded to add any or all of the additional layers without making any of the system redundant.

Base Grade

Ideal for dailies or match grades

This configuration is ideal for fast and cost effective turnaround of programmes without the niggles of time consuming preparation and ingest so often found with commodity PC solutions. Any of the configurations are equally at home working linearly or non linearly (with a YoYo) – instantly switch workflows from session to session without ingest delay!

Base Grade features a host of creative channels including a read and write function for the ASC's CDL, bezier primaries, 2 six vectors and a full power secondary inside and outside a shape. Additionally, there is a wipe function and FastTrack real time tracking making this system the foundation for the more complex feature sets that can be added at any time.

Easily network with other Revolution systems and share facility resources such as Noise Reducers.

Creative Grade

For commercials and broadcast applications

For relighting and creative grades this feature set offers over 30 layers of complex secondaries including the ASC's CDL, FastTrack real time tracking, wipe and numerous primaries.

For in-context grading add a YoYo to create an 'open' suite that can work directly from a SAN or attached media in real time. And because Revolution processes in real time you can instantly flick between cuts, versions and make global changes without ever having to wait for a frame to render – we don't render we process in real time! This also means that we can work with a single copy of the data and apply metadata rather than storing multiple versions 'just in case the client changes their mind at the last moment'.

Advanced Grade

The 'hero' suite.

More and more complex secondaries completely in real time, this set up is for the creative with an unquenchable thirst for power.

Building upon the Creative Grade, this configuration adds yet more layers of secondaries along with defocus on the key and image. It is still possible to add more although we are confident this set up offers enough power for the majority of briefs.
